Great Day Today!

Today was a great day!

It started off pretty routine. Got up, hit the Baño, fed the cats, and went back to sleep until 9:45 a.m. when I had to get up and listen to my 10 a.m. webinar with Caleb O'Dowd. (If you don't know who he is, he is this awesome Irish dude that is doing a series on making money with Facebook groups).

That ended around 11 a.m. I took my shower, made my lunch and talked to my roommate a bit. I had to be ready for my noon check in with the 5 Day Challenge with She's Making an Impact™ with Pinterest: Female Entrepreneurs Community That group is led by Rachel Ngom.

Now, it was around 1 p.m. and it was time to do some work for my client. I had a meeting with her later in the day to get ready for. It had been a month since I started working for her so, I had to run some stats and reports for our meeting. I was blown away by the results of the stats!

Here's just a snippet:

Look at the jump from 81 to 535 on the first day after I took over the account! I couldn't wait to meet with her and renegotiate our "cheap" payment plan.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. It was the Amazon driver with the ethernet connector that I ordered for the work-at-home job that I bought all the equipment for. I hooked it up and while the software downloaded, I started another quick webinar on a reviews program. When it finished it was time to head over to see my client.

Now, for the GREAT NEWS! I hadn't even gotten through the door when she let me know that she was going to take over another location and she wanted to retain my services to get that location up and running! How fantastic!

We went over the stats so that I could show her why I had planned to ask her for a raise and she too was blown away by the results!

We mutually agreed to a weekly rate for me to manage the monitoring of both accounts. I gave her my suggestions for what needed to happen for her business to continue to grow. She, being the stereotypical first-time business owner who grows faster than she is prepared to, suggested that we put the brakes on the efforts at the current location while we build the new location.

I explained to her just how detrimental that would be to all the progress that we had already made, and I reassured her that I would take a bigger role in things to assuage her fears.

She had clients coming in the door and her phone was blowing up and she needed to leave her office in a matter of minutes. We never get to finish an appointment because she is just so busy, lol! So, we set up a time for us to meet on Saturday to finalize this meeting and initiate the plans for the new location.

I left there walking on cloud nine!

Now, mind you, the check she handed me would seem like peanuts to most of you, but for a woman who's been living on minimum wage ($7.25 an hour) for the last two years, to be able to cover my monthly expenses in one check, it was a great day!

I went and paid the lease bill on my laptop and I bought myself a Steak & Cheese sub at Firehouse! I went home and I rearranged my tiny little bedroom/office space to give myself as much room as possible since I have a lot of work to do soon. That took me till around 10 p.m.

To get back on track with my original plans for the day, I cleaned out some emails and sat down to write this. I mentioned yesterday in Ok, So Now What? about me trying to sign up with some affiliates to earn some residual income.

Grammarly was the first one to approve me. Which was awesome for me since, I have loved their service for years now!

I open up Grammarly before I start any program that I am going to be typing text into. I just can't stand to be reading something, supposedly written by a professional, and its laden with grammatical errors! I will stop reading it and then I won't read anything else from them because they didn't take the time to get their grammar right.

This program will check your grammar, your spelling, and give you suggestions of other ways to say what you said. It will even adapt to your writing style.

Forbes said: “Grammarly quickly and easily makes your writing better and makes you sound like a pro, or at least helps you avoid looking like a fool.”
